The Elementary Transition Program
Our Elementary Transition Program is a full-day program for children between the ages of five and six. With this program, we take a unique interdisciplinary approach to learning that combines the best of the Montessori Method with Reggio Emilia and Waldorf pedagogies. This program is designed to prepare children for first grade in a fun and academic setting that identifies each child's unique gifts through an Individualized Educational Plan.
Children are guided in developing their reading, writing, and arithmetic skills with enough time left for the fun of the Fives. The program will ground children with strong foundations in math, language arts, geography, and science. We also place a focus on:
• Health • Nutrition
• Early Physics • Chemistry
• Anatomy • Dental Health
• Outdoor Classroom
Children will also participate in the magic spark of:
• Fine Arts • Music
• Dance • Cooking
• Gardening • Yoga
• Daily Lessons In a Second Language

Instilling a Sense Of Learning That Goes Beyond the Classroom
Our preschool center offers a diverse, physical education program. We are fortunate to have a large, flat playground to do so with both grassy and hard surfaces. While MoMC offers a rich myriad of physical education classes within our curriculum, we also offer some specialized classes in partnership with physical education educators.
• Gross Motor Skills • Yoga
• Dance • Basketball
We offer a weekly cooking class in which children learn about nutrition and healthy eating. Children are taught about healthy foods vs. sometime foods, how to make healthy choices and learn how to prepare basic healthy recipes. Cooking is also used as an opportunity to learn about different cultures and early chemistry.
Yoga & Music
We start each day with yoga and music. We have music, ballet, and art programs three times a week that are taught by teachers with degrees in those fields. We also have dance classes, and they learn new dances every month. All of our classes are engaging and fun.
Our program calendar comes out every August. We operate from a waiting list for all of our programs.
